Joshua 21verse45 ‘There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Isreal; all came to pass.’
The promises of God are the heritage of the righteous and God wants you to experience his promises in their entirety and fullness. This is why he is sending these series of teachings your way so that his promises can be a reality in your life and work. In our last lesson, I started sharing with us some of the ways by which his promises can be a reality in our lives. Today, I will proceed further in sharing another powerful truth with you that will make his promises a reality in your life. If you are ready for this, here we go!
2. By confessing his promises. If you will see the reality of his promises, you need to learn how to speak and profess his promises. This is one of the significant ways of activating God’s promises. Jos1v8. God’s word should not depart from your mouth. You need to speak it with your mouth. This was the principle that God was trying to teach Father Abraham by changing his name and that of his wife (Sarah). Rom4v17-21. My dear reader, faith has a voice and it’s a voice of victory. Faith is never silent. It speaks confidently. This is why you need to follow this example if you want your vision or dreams to see the light of day. Make God’s promises your confession. How do you do that? You can do this by:
-Speaking it regularly and consistently. You don’t just say it once in a while but as often as possible. This is how to make his word work for you.
-Speaking it in and out of season. You must endeavour to speak God’s word in the good, bad or ugly time. In order words, you must speak God’s word in all the seasons of life.
-Speaking it whether you feel like it or not. This principle is certainly what we struggle with but if you want to experience the fullness of his promises, you must learn to speak his word whether you feel like it or not! 2Cor5v7.
-Speaking it until it comes to pass. Yes, my dear friends, you need to be this committed to his word. Never say never! Never retire! Keep speaking his word until it takes hold of you and also begins to speak in your life.
Are you ready to put these truths into operation? As you work on his promises, your expectations won’t be cut off in Jesus name, amen.
