Philip.3v13-14: Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead. Press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
How do you accomplish your goals? It’s one thing to have clearly written out Goals, It’s another thing to accomplish them. My focus in this series of teachings will be on how to accomplish your goals! It’s good to be a Goal Setter but it’s better to be a Goal Getter! Taking a look at what Apostle Paul said in (Philippians 3verse13-14), it’s clear that he was not just running aimlessly but that he had his eyes on his Goal and destination. He deals with the distraction and focuses on where he is going. He has a clear strategy in mind. In the same vein, you too need a strategy if you will accomplish your goals. The same way Paul was going after or pursuing his goal, you too must go after your goals. So what is a Goal? A Goal is a Dream with a Deadline. It’s the ongoing pursuit of a worthy objective until it’s accomplished. So my dear reader, what are your goals for the year? Where do want to go? What do you want to accomplish? Who do you want to be? By the grace of God, I will be sharing with you on how to fulfil all this desires. So what must you do in order to accomplish your Goals?
TO ACCOMPLISH YOUR GOALS:
You need to Keep your Goals before your Eyes. This is what Apostle Paul was doing in (Philippians 3 verse 15). His eyes was on his GOAL OR DESTINATION. He kept his eyes on his goal consistently and regularly. This is what you must do also. It’s not just enough to write down your Goals, you need to keep it somewhere you can see it often. My dear brothers and sisters, it’s going to be difficult to achieve your goals if they are not constantly before your eyes. The task of keeping your goals before you is a Deliberate and INTENTIONAL action (Pro.3v21). Nobody will do this for you, it’s something you have to do yourself. Are you ready to do it?
I am sure you are also wondering why is it important for me to keep my goals before my eyes? I will tell you why this action is very important:
– It will help you to keep it in your Mind. It will make you Mindful of your Goals. Like they often say Out of Sight means Out of Mind. So to keep it in your mind, you have to keep it before your eyes.
-It will help you to receive it. What you see is what you will Become or Get. This is why you need to constantly keep it before your eyes because it will aid you in receiving it (2Cor.3v18).
-It helps you to be focused on your Expectations or Targets. As a human being, it’s easy to be distracted or get derailed but keeping your goals before you help you to stay focused. So I hope you can now see why you need to consistently behold your Goals (Lk.9v62).
My dear reader, it’s time to keep your Goals constantly before you. Let nothing separate you from your Goals. You will get there if you faint not.
2. Break it Down to smaller Goals. How do you eat an Elephant? It’s bit by bit or little by little! You need to apply the same strategy to your goals too! Break it down to smaller goals! Why should you do this? You should do this because:
-It’s easier to manage and monitor your goals like this (Pro.14v1).
-It’s easier to accomplish or fulfil it like this.
-It’s simplifies your work or the entire process. At times, it’s possible to be overwhelmed by Big or Great Goals but breaking it down will ease the burden on you. So make sure you break down your Goals into yearly, quarterly, Monthly, Weekly and Daily Goals. This will make the job much more easier for you. Are you ready to do this today? (Pro.24v27)
My dearly beloved ones, by all possible means break down your Goals so that you can have a better chance of accomplishing it.

CONFESSION: I am a Goal Getter and not just a Goal Setter. As I keep my eyes on my Goals, I expect that I will arrive at my destination. My Goals will see the light of Day. I am not just a Dreamer but also an Accomplisher! By the grace and Wisdom of God, I will see the manifestation of my Goals. By his help also, I will accomplish all my Goals in Jesus name, amen.
