How God Wants You to Prosper 1

Psalm 35verse27 ‘Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

Prosperity is God’s will for the believer. This simply means that God wants you to prosper. This is why God takes pleasure or delight in the prosperity of the righteous, as seen in our text scripture (Psalm35verse27). However, before we examine how God wants you to prosper, I want to share with you what it means to prosper. This is quite important if you really want to prosper. So what does it really mean to prosper? It means the following:

-To Excel in all that is good and desirable. And to excel means to go to the highest place in anything. This is what happened in the life of Joseph when he was in Egypt (At Potiphar’s house, he became the head, when he was in prison, he was also in charge and even when he became the Prime Minister, he was in charge of Egypt’s affairs. Gen39v2-6,21-23;41v38-40). My dear reader, may you also begin to excel in all that is good and desirable.
-To have more than enough to meet every need. In actual fact, prosperity is the ability to use God’s power to meet the needs of mankind in any realm of life. So, in a nutshell, where there is prosperity, there is more than enough to meet every need. This is what true prosperity is all about and may this be your testimony from henceforth in Jesus name, amen. Philip4v19: Gen24v1,35
-The ability to deal wisely in the affairs of life. A prosperous man is therefore a wise man who knows what to do in any given situation. So being wise is a function of prosperity. No wonder the likes of Joseph, Daniel, David and Solomon all prospered because they walked in the wisdom of God. 1Sam18v5,14,30. My dear reader, I hope you can now see that real prosperity has to do with the ability to deal wisely in the affairs of this life. So it’s time for you to go after the wisdom of God.
-To enjoy the help of God. A prosperous man is a man that is helped by God, as Joseph and several other people were helped by God. Gen39v2,21: 2ki18v7. Real prosperity is about someone enjoying the help of God in all their ways. There is no one who doesn’t need the help of God in one area or the other or to one degree or the other. So whatever area of life you need his help, may his help locate you in Jesus name, amen.
-To succeed in reaching your goals or destination or succeed in business affairs. True prosperity is about succeeding. So a prosperous man is not a failure. Dan1v17,20.

Prayer for Today: Heavenly father, thank you for opening my eyes to understanding what real prosperity is all about!
