Ps.5v12: For you, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favour you will surround him as with a shield.
There is no doubt about whom the Lord wants to bless or delights in blessing as you can see from our text scripture in (Psalm 5 verse 12). The blessing of the Lord is the heritage of the righteous. There is a lot of evidence about this in the Bible (Ps.35v27: 30v11). But to what extent are you really walking in the blessings? The blessing is supposed to be a living reality in your life. And if you are truly blessed, you can’t hide or conceal it (Gen.26v28-29: 21v22).
However, from my experience and interaction with people, I have discovered that certain things can hinder the manifestation of the blessing in a man’s life. If you don’t deal with those things, they will prevent the blessings from speaking forth in your life. It is these things that I want to share with you in this series of lessons. And so without much ado, I want us to examine them right away.
OBSTACLES TO YOUR BLESSINGS:
1. Not thinking well of yourself. This is a major hindrance to the blessings in a man’s life. It’s common to think low or bad of yourself instead of thinking the best. You need to feel good about yourself. There is really no one like you in the entire universe. You are unique and a rare breed (Matt.10v31). So stop feeling bad about yourself if you really want to walk in the blessing. Stop the self-depreciation. You are worth a great value. You are good at something. So start feeling good about yourself. Stop seeking approval from others before you accept yourself. Stop denying yourself rather let the beauty that you carry radiate through you. Stop hiding! Come out to the open. Don’t be like Gideon. Start appreciating what you have and carry. If you keep thinking bad of yourself, you will invariably be driving away your blessing because as a man thinks so is he. So begin to see yourself the way God sees you and you walk in that light, your blessings will abound in Jesus name, amen (Pro.23v7).
2. By feeling you are not Worthy of the blessing. I want you to know this Precious child of God that you qualify for the blessings. Yes, Jesus has qualified you by his blood. So stop saying you are not worthy of the blessing (2Cor.8v9). The blessings of the Lord are not the exclusive rights of a select group of people but it’s the heritage of every child of God. Therefore, stop seeing yourself as being inferior to any man or woman. If Jacob could qualify for the blessing, you too can qualify. In fact, you even stand a greater Chance because you have a superior covenant than that of Jacob. Glory be to Jesus because you qualify to be a partaker of the blessings because of what Christ has done (Gal.3v7, 9, 29). So my dear reader, stop feeling unworthy because it will draw you away from the blessings. Start seeing yourself from the standpoint of someone who has been accepted in the Beloved of God. This is very important for you to do, if his blessings will speak abundantly in your life.
May today mark a new beginning in your life. As you start seeing yourself the way God sees you. I believe the picture will begin to change on the outside in Jesus name, amen.

Prayer for Today: Heavenly Father, I acknowledge that your blessings is my heritage in Jesus name, amen. I reject and renounce every other contrary thought.
CONFESSION: I will not allow anything or anyone to hinder me from experiencing the blessings. I will not even allow myself to stop me from being a partaker of the blessings. I am in total agreement with what God says about me and I choose to see myself from that dimension. I am walking in the fullness of his blessings from henceforth in Jesus name, amen.
