Giving Yourself Continually to Prayer 1

Acts6verse4 ‘But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.’

It’s not just enough to pray, but we need to be given to prayer. What does it mean to be given to prayer? It simply means: To be dedicated or devoted to prayer, committed to prayer or sold out to prayer. Giving yourself continually to prayer also speaks of a lifestyle of praying. This was the way the early church operated. No wonder they also got the kind of results that they got! Acts2v42;6v4
Are you devoted to prayer? This is an important question you need to ask yourself if you will manifest your colourful destiny!
At this juncture, I want us to consider why you need to be committed to prayer as a believer.so why give yourself continually to prayer?

1. So as to make a success of your prayer Life. My dear reader, if you truly want to get results from your prayer life, then you need to be sold out to prayer. This was the secret of praying men and women in the bible. This can also be your lot if you start committing yourself to prayer. As you cannot make a success out of what you are not committed to. Jam5v17-18

2. For the development of your prayer life. If you really want to develop your prayer life, then you need to be committed to prayer because you cannot be greater than your prayer life. The stronger your prayer life, the better for you; this is also true the other way around. So how strong is your prayer life? Lk2v36-37

3. Because of the days that we live in. My dear brothers and sisters, if you want to survive and succeed in this season that we are living in, then it’s important for you to take your prayer life seriously. You need the ministry of prayer more than ever before. 2Tim3v1: Jn16v33
So God is throwing this challenge to us all as believers! Are you going to rise up to this challenge? Are you willing to stand in the gap? Eze22v30
