2Chronicles27verse6 ‘So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.’

The secret of champions is in their stories! If you really want to be successful in life, then you need to pay attention to your preparation. If you want to have a glorious and beautiful year, you must consider your preparations. This is what I have been sharing with you in this series of teachings and today by his grace; I will proceed further by sharing more insights on how to get ready for the new year. If you are ready for this, here we go!

3. Repent of any wrongdoings or actions. What do I mean by this? I am simply talking about things that you need to improve on or do away with. These are the little foxes that can spoil our vines. They are things that are not allowing us to reach our full potential. You know these things if you will be frank with yourself. So it’s time to do away with such things. Mk1v15
Some of these things can include malice, bitterness, hatred, grudges, uncleanness, filthy communication, fornication, unforgiveness etc. These are not exhaustive lists but generally speaking, anything that is capable of hindering your destiny should be dealt with. Eph4v31-32. I pray for you today that you will have the courage to do so.

4. Seek for renewal from God. You cannot use yesterday’s strength for the assignment of tomorrow. In the same vein, you can’t use this outgoing year’s strength for the new year’s assignment. A new year calls for new strength. You need new strength for the new year. Isa40v31. So part of your preparation for the new year should be inclusive of this. So create a time for renewal. And several areas of your life need renewal, for instance, you need to renew the following:
-Your strength and power. Isa40v31
-Your vision and dreams
-Your passion and zeal Gal5v7
-Your joy and enthusiasm
-Your mind Eph4v23
-Your health 1Tim4v8
-Your attitude and mentality Hag1v5,7
My dear reader, your life needs a complete renewal and overhauling in order to be ready for the new year. Are you ready to make room for this kind of experience?
