Ps.34v1-2: I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; the humble shall hear of it and be glad.

You can get more out of your praise if you know what to do. You can take your praise to another level. This is what this discourse is all about. David succeeded in taking his praise to another level in (Ps.34v1-2). He took his praise to a new dimension. You too can do the same if you emulate the example of David. How can you take your praise to another dimension? You can do so when:

  • You are more deliberate with your praise. You need to be intentional and purposeful about your praise. Gratitude is not something you ought to do when you feel like it or when it’s convenient but something you do on purpose. David was intentional about his praise in (Ps.34v1). This is the reason he said, “I will bless the Lord at all times.” If you notice, he said, ‘I will’ not “I may.” This shows how deliberate and intentional he was about praising God. You too need to be intentional about praising God. Stop waiting to be in the mood before you praise God; just do it. This is the attitude you need to put on if you want to see the wonders of His praise (Ps.104v33).
  • You are excessive in your praise. Most of the time, we are economical with our praise. We don’t go out of our way to thank him. No wonder we are not getting much out of our praise. My dear reader, stop holding back your praise. It’s time to be extravagant in your praise. It’s time to praise God until God says it’s enough. Will you rise up to this challenge today? It’s time to go out of your way in expressing your thanks to him (2Sam.6v13-14).
  • You are sacrificial with your praise. Your praise ought to be sacrifice and a sacrifice is something that will cost you something. So, what is your praise costing you? Is your praise taking something out of you? If your praise is not taking something out of you, then it means it’s not costing you something. When you look at David’s life, he was sacrificial in his praise to God (1Chro.21v24). It’s time for you also to bring a sacrifice of praise. Let your praise cost you something, for this is how you can get more out of your praise. My dear reader, your praise can accomplish much more if you start paying attention to these things I have mentioned. I see you entering into the dimension of the unusual works of His praise. May the power of gratitude take you to new heights in Jesus name, amen.

CONFESSION: My praise works wonders in my life. God’s praise will continually be in my mouth. Nothing shall ever take away His praise from my lips. I chose to be a praiser and not a complainer. I chose gratitude over grumbling. I am sold out to living a lifestyle of praise. Glory be to God, for I am experiencing the fullness of what His praise can do in a man’s life.
