Lk.2v40, 52: And the child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon Him. And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
Spiritual growth is discernable and noticeable. If you are growing spiritually, you will know, those around you will know, God obviously will know, and the devil will be aware of your spiritual progress. So, in a nutshell, spiritual growth is not something you can hide or conceal. After a while, it will begin to show or manifest itself. A close look at our text scripture (Lk.2v40, 52) clearly shows the progress that our Lord Jesus made in his growth process. From being a child to becoming a full-grown or mature man. My dear reader, it’s possible to measure and track your spiritual progress. This is what this series of teachings is all about; to help you to know whether you are growing or not and to track your spiritual growth. So what are the pieces of evidence, profits, or indicators of spiritual growth? What can you use to gauge your spiritual progress? Some powerful indicators can be used to measure spiritual progress, and today, by His grace, I would like us to examine two of such indicators.
INDICATORS OF SPIRITUAL GROWTH:
1. CHANGE. If you are growing spiritually. You will be changing or experiencing various levels of changes in your life. Change is part and parcel of growth. All growing things change. Change is the evidence of Growth! So my dear reader, are you changing for the better? Do you see visible changes in your character, conduct, lifestyle, choices, and company that you keep? No change simply means No Growth! You can’t be growing and be static. True Spiritual Growth is characterized by change. A good example of this is the life of a pregnant woman. A woman with a child experiences changes in her body, mind, perception, and everything around her. This is evident by the changes in her tummy, taste, moods, and even her desires. In the same vein, you ought to experience changes in every area of your life because of the spiritual progress you are making (Matt.4v19; Acts 4v13). These changes will begin on the inside before it begin to manifest on the outside. I believe this will be your experience henceforth in Jesus’ name, amen.
2. FRUITFULNESS. If you are growing spiritually, you will be fruitful. Fruitfulness is an indication or evidence of growth (Matt.7v16, 20). Anything that is growing will be fruitful. So, my dear reader, are you bearing fruits? What kind of fruits are you bearing? Do you have things to show or point to as evidence of growth? These are some of the questions you need to ask yourself if you want to know whether you are fruitful or not. You were called by God to be fruitful and not to make up the number. Barrenness is not your portion, so you need not settle for it. As you abide in Christ, you begin to bear fruits and the greater you maximize your union with Christ, the better your degree of fruitfulness (Jn.15v). So, my dear beloved ones, it’s time to take your fruitfulness to another level. I pray that your fruits will abide as you make spiritual progress in Jesus’ name. Make up your mind from today that you will keep on bearing fruits unto the praise and honour of his name as you abide in Christ.

Prayer for Today: Thank you, Father, for changing me from glory to glory as I abide in Christ in Jesus name, amen.
CONFESSION: Fruitfulness and transformation is the order of the Day from henceforth in my life and walk. As I make spiritual progress, my life is being turned around from glory to glory; He is changing me. I go also from one level of grace to another. This is my testimony and song. Hallelujah to his name!
