1Cor.9v16: For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel!

I have been sharing with you about making evangelism your lifestyle. That is part and parcel of your life, operations and what you do. The truth of the matter is that Winning Souls ought to be part and parcel of our lives, as we can see from the example of the great Apostle Paul in (1Corinthians 9 verse 16). Also we need to make soul winning a necessity and something that we have to do regularly. Soul-winning can become a part of your life. God’s plan and desire are that the business of soul-winning should be something that we are committed to because this is how all can hear the good news of the kingdom, and also the kingdom of God can be extended and enlarged. So my dear brothers and sisters, are you ready to inculcate the habit of winning Souls into what you do? This is how you will become a greater witness for Jesus and be an effective one. Once again, by the grace of God, today, I intend to share with you some other principles that can help you in making soul winning a part of what you do.

2. By seizing the opportunities that comes your way. You need to make good use of the opportunities that God brings your way if you are going to be successful in the business of winning Souls. The truth of the matter is that opportunities come our way every day; the problem is that at times we do not see such opportunities. That is why you need to be discerning enough in recognising such opportunities. There are several opportunities around you today, for instance, the opportunity to teach, learn, help, work, do business, train, meet people, influence etc. And opportunities abound unto you everywhere. It just depends on what you see and how you see (Eph.5v16). A wise man once said the secret of success is to be ready when opportunities come. Most people miss out on opportunities because when the opportunity presents itself, it is dressed in overalls and looks like work. The truth of the matter is that you must not only recognise opportunities when it comes, but you must be willing to work on those opportunities. One opportunity used wisely can change your life forever and also be of great blessing unto another. So watch out for opportunities as you go out every day and every week. Once you decide to make good use of the opportunities that come your way, it will be easier to make winning souls a part of what you do. May today mark the beginning of such an experience for you in Jesus name.

3. Let your life preach Christ. This is very important if you will imbibe the culture of winning Souls. Let your lifestyle be an advertisement for the gospel. Is your lifestyle an advertisement for the gospel or not? Is your Christianity contagious or infectious? The truth of the matter is that our faith is not supposed to be silent. Our faith ought to be alive. This is why in all that you do and what you say, you should make it a point of duty that Christ will be seen through all that you represent. I mean, let the love, the mercy, the goodness etc., of Christ reflect in all you do. Be nice, caring, helpful and friendly to people. You need to practice what you believe or teach (1Pet.2v12: 3v1-5). Whether you know it or not, your life is a message. It is either your life is shining or stinking. This is why like they say, charity begins at home. One compelling way you can imbibe the culture of winning souls is to ensure that your life reflects what it means to be a believer so that all that surrounds you will feel the honour and the glory of God about you drawing them to the saving grace of Jesus. It’s time for the Dorcas in you to speak (Acts9v36-41). It’s time for the Barnabas in you to speak to your world, and I pray that today will mark the beginning of all of that experience for you in Jesus name.

CONFESSION: Lord, I commit myself to the business of winning souls by seizing every opportunity that comes my way. Let my life also reflect your glory and your beauty to my generation so that many people can be influenced for your glory. I am not just a believer by mouth but I am a believer in indeed. As I live the Christ-life, I believe that the glory of the Lord will radiate through my life to touch other people for Jesus. Lord, make my life to be a true example of someone who has had an encounter with you. Let my life bring you glory and praise from henceforth. This is my prayer and confession in Jesus name, amen.
