1 Corinthians 15verse58: ‘Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.’

It is not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives; it is what we do consistently. This is why we must be consistent in our service to God’s house. This is also clearly revealed in our text scripture (1 Corinthians 15verse58). God wants us to be consistent in our services to him. This is why he uses those keywords (steadfast, unmovable, and always abounding). So, how consistent are you in terms of your service to God? A Great example of consistency is Apostle Paul himself. He was consistent in his service despite all the challenges he went through.1Cor15v10.

Another great example of consistency in the Bible is Prophetess Anna (Luk2v36-37). She displayed consistency in the way she served her God even though she was a widow!

I also want you to check out the following stories of people from the secular world:

-David Beckham practiced playing free kicks and corner kicks with his Dad consistently. No wonder he became a specialist in this area in his playing days.

-Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart practiced playing the keyboard and violin for upward of 12 hours daily without fail. Despite his widely acknowledged talent in music, he was committed to consistent practice.

My dear friends, you can see that we have no excuses for not being consistent in our service to God. Rom2v1. So it’s time to overcome our being consistently inconsistent. This can be a possibility in our lives if you are willing to commit yourself to the process. So, by the way, what does it mean to be consistent?

It means the quality of being the same, doing things the same way, or having the same standards. This can further be broken down into the following:

-To be the same both in private and public.

-To be the same when people are there and when no one is with you.

-To be the same when you are supervised or not supervised.

-To be the same either in good or bad times.

-To be the same regardless of the prevailing circumstances of life.

This; is how God wants you to serve him. Rom12v11. This is the kind of service that is acceptable to God and guess what? This is the kind of service that brings great returns! So what are you waiting for? It’s time to get busy consistently serving God!
