Proverbs 23verse7 β€˜For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.’

Dearly beloved, how you see yourself is a major determinant of many things. This is why you need to pay attention to the kind of thoughts that are going on in your mind. As you can see from our text scripture (Proverbs 23 verse 7), your thoughts are much more powerful than you think! Your thoughts do not only affect you today but also your tomorrow. So this is why you have to pay attention to your thought life. Today by his grace, I will continue from where I stopped in our last lesson by sharing with you more reasons why you should pay attention to how you see yourself.

3. It will determine the kind of life that you live. How you see yourself will determine if you will be victorious or defeated, successful or a failure, and rewarded or disappointed! Your life will gravitate in the direction of your most dominant thoughts. So if you see yourself as poor, you can never be rich in life. Or if you see yourself as disadvantaged, you will never be favored. So, my dear reader, your mentality determines your manner of life. This is why I urge you to start taking care of this area of your life. Rom12v2

4. It will determine how far you will go. Your perception determines your placement or position in life. So it’s time for you to watch your thoughts. I have discovered that those who go very far often see themselves in the right way. My dear reader, the power is in your hands! So, therefore, I urge you to use this power to your advantage. Deut1v36, 38: Jos14v9-12.

5. It will determine how others will treat you or see you. Wow! This is such a powerful truth! I hope you get it! If you see yourself as confident and victorious, then people will treat you the same way. This is what happened to Joshua and Caleb! They saw themselves as victorious and others saw them in this light. Num14v24, 30 So, my dear reader, if you don’t like the way others treat or see you, you might need to work on how you see yourself because how you see yourself usually radiates through your actions and demeanor! So it’s time to start seeing yourself as confident and courageous because this is how God sees you! Will you start doing so from today?
