Jer.1v4-8: Then the word of the Lord came to me saying; “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; before you were born, I sanctified you; I ordained you a Prophet to the nations”. Then I said, “Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth”. But the Lord said to me; “do not say, I am a youth; for you shall go to all to whom I send you, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of their faces, for I am with you to deliver you,” says the Lord.

How do you see yourself? This is a very important question because how you see yourself matters. It will determine:

– How You Perform

– Your Outcomes or results in life.

– How others see you.

This is why you need to have the correct perspective of who you are. You need to see yourself right and in the correct manner. This accounts for why God had to rebuke Jeremiah in our text Scripture because he did not see himself in the right manner. God wanted him to see himself the way he saw him, i.e. a Prophet to the nations and not as a child. In the same vein, you also need to see yourself the way God sees you. See yourself in the light of his Word. My dear reader, you need to know that:

– You are what God says you are.

– You have what God says you have.

– You can do what God says you can do.

Stop seeing yourself the way the World, people, or even Satan sees you (Jn.1v46). It’s time to change the way you see yourself. It’s time to wear and carry the Mindset of God concerning you. This is one of the most Liberating Truths that you can ever experience. So are you ready to change the way you see yourself and how can you effect this change? You can change how you see yourself by:

1. Thinking in line with his Word. This is how your mindset and life change by embracing God’s thoughts. This is why it’s so important to hear and meditate on God’s word regularly. This is how your mind is renewed and how your life will ultimately change (2Cor.3v18). So it’s time for you to start thinking in line with his Word and see the picture change on the inside of you.

2. Believing in line with His Word. Start believing what God says about you. It’s not just important to hear or read it; you need to believe it. It’s believing that changes your life. So what are you waiting for? Start believing today what God’s word says about you and watch how your perspective will change (Lk.1v45).

3. Acting in line with his Word. While it’s good to believe what God’s word says about you, you need to go a step further by acting the way God says you are. When you make your actions correspond to what he says, your life will change for the better (Jam.2v20, 26).

My dear brothers and sisters, these are the possibilities that abound as you begin to see yourself the way God sees you. Don’t settle for something else. Don’t settle for something less. Walk according to God’s will for your life. I pray that you will truly experience the transforming power of God as you embrace these truths.

Prayer for Today: Holy Spirit, help me to see myself the Way God sees me.

CONFESSION: I choose to see myself the way God sees me. I reject every contrary opinion of the world, people, and Satan against me. I embrace God’s thoughts concerning me. I also believe it with all of my heart. I walk in the reality of these truths and as I do, my life is taking a new dimension in Jesus name, amen.
