Numbers 13verse31-33 ‘But the men that went up with him said, we be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, the land through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants; and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers and so we were in their sight’.

It’s important for you as a child of God to see yourself in the right perspective if you will really fulfill your colourful destiny. This is why you need to do away with the old way of thinking and also embrace a new way of thinking. You need to change the way you see yourself if your life will really change for the better. So how can this transition take place? How are you supposed to see yourself? When you know how you are supposed to see yourself, it will help you know how to change the way you see yourself. So how can you change the way you see yourself?

HOW TO CHANGE HOW YOU SEE YOURSELF?

1. See yourself according to your potential and abilities. This also means to see yourself in terms of your grace, abilities, gifts, e.t.c. I know it’s common for people to see themselves from the position of their weaknesses and not their strengths but this has to change if you really want to walk upon your high places in life. This was the lesson God was trying to teach Gideon in the book of Judges. (Jud6v12-15). As long as he saw himself as a loser, there was no how he could win. As you can see from the story, God was directing his attention to what he had or possessed but focused on what he didn’t have. You, too, need to make that paradigm shift in your mind. Start seeing yourself according to your abilities and potential, not the other way around. As you do this, his strength and power will come to your aid and rescue. Invariably your life won’t be the same again in Jesus name, amen. Rom12v6: 1Pet4v10

2. See yourself according to his Word. This is how you change the picture on the inside of you. Start seeing yourself the way God sees you. As you meditate and study God’s word, it begins to change the picture of who you are on the inside. There is actually a metamorphosis that takes place as you continually behold his Word. This is why you need to spend time meditating and confessing the Word because it helps to change the picture on the inside. In fact, God’s word helps you to see yourself the way God sees you. So it’s time to become God-minded. It’s time for you to align your thoughts and mind with his Word. When you walk with the consciousness of who you are in his Word, it changes the way you see yourself. So let the work of transformation begin as you regularly behold His Word; may a new and better You emerge. Ps119v97: Pro13v13.
