Numbers 13verse31-33‘But the men that went up with him said, we be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, the land through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants; and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers and so we were in their sight’.

My dearly beloved, before you reach your promised land of hope and joy, it’s important that you see yourself in the right way and manner. This is why I am sharing with you the subject of how you see yourself. And from what you can see from our text scripture (Num13v31-33), how you see yourself matters a lot because the ten spies saw themselves as grasshoppers; they lost out on their rich inheritance. From our last lesson, I shared two reasons you need to pay attention to how you see yourself. Today by his grace, I intend to share 3more reasons why how you see yourself matters. If you are ready for this, then take a look at the following reasons:

3. It will determine how I see others and even the world around me. Do you know that how you see others is influenced by how you see yourself? This is why you need to pay attention to how you see yourself. How you see the world or others is a reflection of how you see yourself. Therefore, if you see things as impossible, it’s a product of your mentality. If you see things as possible, it’s a product of your Mentality. Num13v30. It’s time to start paying attention to your thoughts.

4. It will determine the kind of life that you will live. Whether a victorious or defeated life or a successful or failure bound Life. In other words, if you see yourself as poor, you will never be rich in real life, or if you see yourself as disadvantaged, you will never be favoured in life. So your mentality determines your manner of life. A victorious mentality leads to a victorious life, while a victim’s mentality leads to a defeated life. So to walk in victory over Satan, you need to see yourself the way God sees you. Are you ready to make that shift? Rom12v2

5. It will determine how others will treat or see you. If you see yourself as confident and courageous, people will treat you that way. So how do you see yourself? Do you see yourself as somebody or nobody? Or as a confident or fearful person? It’s time to see yourself in the right perspective if you want people to treat you well. Caleb and Joshua saw themselves as victorious; that was why the people saw them in that dimension. Num14v24,30.

My dear reader, it’s time to work on how you see yourself! It’s time for you to begin to see yourself the way God sees you. As you make that transition today, a new life awaits you in Jesus name, amen.

Prayer for today: Help me, Holy Spirit, to start paying attention to how I see myself from today in Jesus name, amen.

CONFESSION: I begin to pay attention to how I see myself so that my life can take on a better and new meaning. I will no longer be careless about what I think. I realize that I am a product of my thinking. Therefore, I choose to see myself from the victorious position in Christ. I put on a new mind! I exchange my old mind for a better one.
