Genesis 32v24, 26-28, 30 ‘V24And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. V26-And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. V27-And he said unto him, what is thy name? And he said, Jacob. You are welcome back to our discussion on experiencing a change of stories encounters. I believe that you are ready for this experience because God is set to visit you in a special way. You need to also remember that God is no respecter of persons but a respecter of faith. If he did it for Jacob, he will surely do it for you too. So what does it take to experience a change of story encounter? What are the conditions for experiencing a change of story encounters? These are the things we will be discussing in our lesson today and the subsequent ones! So let’s begin to examine these truths!
1. A Genuine Desperation. There has to be a genuine desperation for God and the change you desire if you will experience a change of story encounter. It takes a genuine hunger and thirst in order for you to experience a change of story encounter! So how hungry are you for that change? How badly do you want that transformation? This is one of the determining factors for a change of story encounter. So my dear friends, how desperate are you for a change of story encounter? The hungrier you are, the greater your chances of experiencing a change of story! Weak desires produce weak results, while strong desires produce strong results. You see this kind of desperation in Jacob’s life as he wrestled with God. You, too, need this kind of desperation if you will see the changes you desire! So what are you waiting for? It’s time to push! It’s time to press into the next level! It’s time to push until something happens! As you push, God will satisfy the longing of your soul! As you lay hold of God, your expectations won’t be cut off! I can see you stepping into a brand-new season! If you believe this, say Hallelujah!
