You are welcome back to our discussion on “Building Stronger Marriages.” Our focus primarily has been on the materials that can help you to develop a solid marriage. Nothing just happens, but things are made to happen. This is why you need to build your home with the right kind of materials if it’s going to stand and not fall. Today by His grace, I will be sharing the ninth essential material that you need for a successful marriage.
Materials for building stronger marriages:
9. Be sexually faithful to your spouse. My dear reader, infidelity and extra-marital affairs will destroy your home. This is why you need to flee from such vices and be faithful to your spouse sexually (Heb.13v4). Staying sexually faithful to your spouse has several advantages such as:
- Being faithful to your spouse encourages your spouse to be faithful to you.
- Being faithful makes your marriage last. Cheating on your spouse is one of the easiest and quickest ways of ending your marriage.
- Being faithful gives you peace and rest of mind.
- Being faithful boosts the quality of your sex life.
- Being faithful builds greater trust between you and your spouse.
- Being faithful helps you to focus on your marriage.
- Being faithful builds strength of character.
Sex is a powerful emotion that needs to be hallowed in any marriage if that union will be blissful. So, as a married person, you need to avoid flirting and cheating on your spouse for whatsoever reasons because it always hurts and may even destroy your home. Stay faithful to your spouse! (Pro.6v26)
What are the ways by which you can achieve faithfulness in your sexuality?
i. Don’t deprive your spouse of sex except with mutual consent (1Cor.7v5).
ii. Find sexual fulfillment/satisfaction in your spouse (Pro.5v18-20).
iii. Deal with every form of inhibitions/barriers to sexual intimacy in your marriage.
iv. Avoid potential cheating traps e.g. Avoid meeting alone with anyone you feel attracted to sexually or romantically.
v. Stay intimate and talk about your sexuality with your spouse (Gen.2v25).
My dear reader, by every possible means, avoid the snare of marital unfaithfulness. Stay true and faithful to your spouse. This is the secured path to marital bliss and joy!

Prayer for Today: Holy Spirit, I choose to be sexually faithful to my spouse as long as I live in Jesus name, amen. I receive grace and your wisdom in overcoming every form of temptation!
CONFESSION: I say no to every form of marital unfaithfulness. I commit myself to be faithful to my spouse sexually. I will be faithful to my words and vows. I will not cheat on my spouse nor abuse my body with any other except my spouse. I renounce every form of inordinate sexual attraction and advances, for I find sexual fulfillment only in my spouse and no other person. Holy Spirit, help me to keep my body for my spouse and help me never to abuse this privilege in Jesus name. By your grace, I overcome every form of temptation and repel that which is contrary to your will.
