Pro.13v22: A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.
I strongly believe that you have been getting blessed by this series of messages on building lasting legacies—one sure way of showing this blessing is by taking heed to the truths we have shared so far. The blessing is in doing and not just in hearing. I pray that you will be able to make the most out of these teachings in Jesus name, amen. I am still sharing with you how to create lasting legacies, and today, by his grace, I will be sharing another powerful tool that can help you to leave behind an enduring legacy.
HOW TO BUILD A LASTING LEGACY
- Focus on making a lasting Impact. Impact is not on the same level or dimension. Don’t just make an impact but make a lasting impact. I mean, make an impact that will be enduring and that cannot be easily forgotten or erased. This is how to build a lasting legacy. What kind of impact or effect do you have on people, things or the circumstances of life? You will agree with me that our impact is not the same (Jn.5v35). My dear reader, activities is not the same as accomplishment, so if you don’t want to labour in vain, then you need to focus on making a lasting impact. Do you know that you can make an impact in several areas of endeavours and life, such as:
– In or through your family. Like father Abraham did in (Gen.18v17-18).
– In the way you do things i.e. by doing things differently and with excellence (Dan.6v3).
– On unbelievers (Jn.4v29; Pro.11v30).
– In your local church (Acts 4v34-37).
– In your work/enterprise (Dan.6v4; Philip.2v19-22).
I hope you can see that you don’t have a tangible reason for not making an impact. So it’s time to rise up to this challenge. Dearly Beloved, if you are going to succeed in making a lasting impact, it’s important for you to pay attention to some important truths. These truths are as follows:
- Focus on effectiveness and not just on efficiency. Efficiency is doing things right, while effectiveness is doing the right things. Focusing on effectiveness is what will get you more and better results. This will ultimately help you in your pursuit of making a lasting impact (Jn.5v2, 8).
- Focus on making a difference right where you are. Wherever you are, it’s important to be all there. You can be in place, i.e. school, home or workplace and nobody knows you are. So, therefore, don’t just occupy space but be a change agent and leave behind your footprints (Philip.2v2).
- Focus on eternity and not just on earthly things. Do you know that the things we do here on earth will also determine and impact our eternity? So focus on sowing seeds that will prepare you and others for eternity. Maximise the moment and make it count (Matt.6v19-21);

I will not just occupy space, but I will maximize my existence to the glory of his name. Glory be to God, I am a man of legacy, and everywhere I go, I create an enduring legacy in Jesus name, amen.
