Pro.31v29: Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all.

Our focus has been on how to achieve better service delivery in whatsoever field of endeavor and from our last lesson, I shared with you the importance of having a customer—mindset if you really want to deliver better services. I also mentioned that in order to have a customer—mind-set, you need to know certain truths about customers. I shared five of the twelve truths with you. Today by His grace, I will be sharing the other seven truths about customers that you need to know. Here we go:

  • The complaining customer represents a huge opportunity for most businesses or ministries. This is an important truth that you need to pay attention to if you will ever succeed at delivering better service (Acts 6v1-7). My dearly beloved brothers and sisters, always remember that your most unhappy customers are your greatest source of learning.
  • The customer is the king or the boss. He can fire anybody in the company from the chairman to the least staff by simply spending his money elsewhere. My dear reader, never forget this!
  • Understand your customers i.e. know what they want, how they think etc. This is part of the understanding that you need to have if you will succeed at rendering excellent service. So, to what extent do you know your customers?
  • Good service is good business. What does this translate to? It simply means that it is the customer who pays the wages, the employers only handle the money! This is why you should focus on knowing more about your customers.
  • Customers do not expect you to be perfect but they expect you to fix things when they go wrong.
  • The primary purpose of a business is to create a customer who creates customers!
  • Know your competition or competitors. You need to know what is preventing your customers from coming or coming back! This is an important piece of information that will help you in rendering better service. As you embrace these truths and knowledge, I see a bright future ahead of you in Jesus name, amen.
