Proverbs 4verse18 ‘But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.’

Can you have a positive influence on our world? The answer is a definite Yes! It’s possible to make a positive impact in our world. And you don’t have to be a Mandela, Mother Teresa or Martin Luther to make an impact. The truth of the matter is that God has given you the tools and resources that you need in order to have a positive influence in our world. If you take a closer look at our text scripture (Proverbs 4verse18), you will see some important truths about you being a person of influence. So what are these truths?

1. You were created for influence. God made you have a positive impact on our world. This is why he says that your path as the righteous is supposed to be like a shining light. In fact, when you also look at the testimonies of the scriptures and the kind of things that God likens you to, you would see that you were wired for influence. Matt5v13-16: Ps92v12-14: 1Pet2v9

2. Your influence is not supposed to be static. God expects your influence to keep growing and not diminish. This is why He says your path should be like the shining light that keeps shining brighter and brighter. I know it’s possible to lose once influence, but your influence should keep improving for the righteous. This is what happened to Daniel in captivity, his influence never diminished. I strongly believe that you too can have this kind of experience if you do the right kind of thing with your influence. Dan1v19;2v48;5v29;6v2-3,28

3. Everybody has influence. However, it’s not just enough to have influence how you are using your influence is what really matters. So what kind of use are you putting your influence on? Are you using your influence positively or negatively? What kind of influence do you have in your neighborhood, school or workplace? The answers you give to these questions will determine exactly the kind of influence that you have. Jb22v28: 1Tim1v13
My dear reader, the bottom line is that God wants you to use your influence positively and I pray that through this series of lessons, you will be empowered to do so in Jesus name, amen.
