Acts 1v8: But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

I trust you are enjoying this series of lessons on “Becoming a Living Witness.” As you can see from our text scripture in (Acts 1v8), you ought to be His powerful witness. So, to what extent are you making an impact for Him? In our last discussion, I started to share with us some of the ways by which we can touch people’s lives in a positive way. Today by His grace, I will share another key to becoming a positive influence in our world.

How to affect people’s lives positively?

2. By investing in other people. Investing in people is one of the surest ways of affecting other people for good and it’s something you need to seriously consider. Like a wise man once said, “No man becomes rich unless he enriches others.” Who are you investing in? Who are you pouring yourself or your life into? These are the questions you need to ask yourself if you really want to affect others positively. Human capital i.e. people are the highest form of capital in the world. This is why the task of investing in people can be quite expensive and demanding but it’s a worthwhile experience when you consider the fruits and dividends that would abound (Matt.4v19; Acts 4v13).

My dear reader, just like Apostle Paul poured himself into the likes of Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Onesimus, John Mark, Phoebe, and several others, you need to strategically and prayerfully look for opportunities or people that you can invest into for this is how you can truly be His living witness. You can invest in other people’s lives by building them up, sowing worthwhile seeds into their lives, making valuable deposits into their destinies et cetera. by training, imparting, coaching, mentoring them. These are just some of the means of making positive contributions to the lives of people. Precious child of God, what plans do you have in place in becoming a diligent and wise investor in men? It’s time for you to rise up to the challenge. It’s time for you to make a mark that cannot be easily erased or forgotten. It’s time to be a blessing.

Prayer for Today: Precious Holy Spirit, help me in investing wisely and diligently into the lives of other people. Help me to be a blessing indeed in Jesus name, amen.

CONFESSION: As His living witness, I make valuable investments into the life of people around me. I choose to impart and not conceal. I choose to give and not hoard. I choose to use what I know and have in making others around me better and stronger. I choose to water others. I choose to dispense good everywhere I go. I bless sincerely without any ulterior motive or intent. I will not be put to shame as I honor His word in Jesus name, amen.
