Acts 1v8: But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
What kind of witness are you? Are you a living or a dead witness? A living witness is someone whose life is a testimony of the goodness and mercy of God. Their lives are positively affecting the lives of other people (Acts 10v38). This is who a living witness is and this who you are supposed to be. We are called to be His living witnesses as you can see in (Acts 1v8). So, to what extent are you living up to this responsibility?
Dearly beloved, the worth of a life is not in its duration but in its donation. It’s not just in its existence but in its empowerment. It’s not about what you have but who you have affected. Who is getting better because of you? Before I start sharing with you the ways your life can make a positive difference, there are certain statements of truth that you need to be familiar with:
Statements of truth:
- Your life is currently affecting people whether you know it or not. Your life right now is affecting people either for good or bad. So what kind of impact are you making on people? (Matt.5v16)
- The things that you do or say affects other people either for good or bad. I know that this is a huge and profound truth but nonetheless, it is the truth. It’s time to pay attention to whatsoever you are doing or saying because it has a great effect on your outcomes in life (Gen.22v15-17)
- You need to be deliberate/intentional about life. You can’t afford to be casual or passive. Your life is not a dress rehearsal; so, it’s important you take seriously the business of life. How deliberate or intentional are you about life? It’s time to be deliberate and purposeful about your life. It’s time for you to be a blessing and not a burden. I pray for you today that you will be a living witness indeed! (Dan.1v8)

Prayer for Today: Precious Holy Spirit, let my life be truly a testimony of his grace, goodness, and the gospel in Jesus name, amen.
CONFESSION: I am called to be his living witness and a living witness I will be in Jesus name. I am a blessing to my generation and my world. I am a blessing and not a burden. I am His light, not darkness. I contribute meaningful and specifically where I am. I am the revelation of His love and power to my generation. Glory be to Jesus, my life is of significant impact and influence to my world.
