1Cor.10v24: Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being.

Precious child of God, we have been called to live a life of significance and this should be your highest desire and aspiration too in life. As we can see from (1Cor.10v24) that God wants us to be other-people-minded or selfless in our disposition as true believers. If you will truly live a significant life, there are certain things you need to pay attention to. In fact, it doesn’t really cost much to live a significant life if you have the right kind of heart. So, what does it really take to live a significant life?

WHAT IT TAKES TO LIVE A SIGNIFICANT LIFE:

  1. A Heart of love. Yes, if you have a heart that is motivated by love, you will succeed in living a significant life. It takes love to serve. It takes love to be other-people-minded. So without love, it’s impossible to serve others. According to (Rom.5v5), as a believer, the love of God (i.e. Agape) has been shed abroad in your hearts, so you have what it takes to serve. You just need to yield to it and the more you do this, the more God can flow through you. Start spreading love where you are today. Be the living expression of God’s love to humanity and you will be on your way to living a significant life.
  2. A generous disposition. It takes a giving spirit to live a significant life and interestingly, giving is motivated by genuine love. So if you love, you will give! Those who live a significant life are givers! They are generous with their time, talents, treasures (money/resources) skills, energy et cetera. And you don’t have to be rich before you can be generous. The likes of Mother Theresa and Tabitha changed the world by their giving spirit because they started with the little that they had. You too can make a lot of impacts if you start with the little you have (Pro.1v24-25). My dear reader, I want you to also know that those who continually give will also continually have. It’s time to embrace a generous disposition so as to make the world a better place. May this change start with you!
