Proverbs 19:21 — AMPC: “Many plans are in a man’s mind, but it is the Lord’s purpose for him that will stand”)

What is the purpose of life? Is it to eat or drink, to marry or raise a family, to become popular or famous? Although, all these things have their significance and value but they are not the primary purpose of life. According to Proverbs 19:21 (AMPC), it’s very clear that God’s purpose is superior and better than our purposes. God wants you to live a purposeful life. This is His ultimate plan for you. According to Robert Bryne, “The purpose of life is to live a life of purpose.” Can this be true about your life?
When it comes to how we live, I have discovered that people live the following kinds of life:
A life of anything goes. This is a purposeless, directionless and aimless life to live. This kind of people live as it pleases them.
A life of merely existing. This set of people are just occupying space; they just make up the number but they are not living life to the fullest (1 Timothy 5:6).
A life of following the multitude. This set of people seem to follow trends, others and what is popular. They have no particular direction for their lives (Proverbs 16:4).
A life of pursuing purpose. This set of people live a purposeful life. They know the reason for their creation and are committed to it. This is the way to live your life as this is the best kind of life to live (Romans 8:28). Are you ready to pursue a purposeful life?

PRAYER FOR TODAY: Father, I say no to every other contrary life aside from a purposeful Life. Purposeful living is my heart’s desire and intention. Help me to always pursue a life of purpose above every other thing.

CONFESSION: I say “yes” to purposeful living and “no” to a meaningless life. I walk in the path of God’s will for my life. I renounce every other contrary life. My heart desire is to please Him and fulfill the purpose for my making and creation. As I do this, I will bring Him glory and not shame. Glory be to God; living a life of purpose is my delight and joy.
