Luke 18verse1: ‘There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.’
There are so many reasons for unanswered prayers but our focus today will be on one of the major reasons for unanswered prayers which is basically inconsistency.
Yes, inconsistency is one of the major reasons why a lot of prayers go unanswered. When I say inconsistency, what do I really mean?
I basically mean a lack or absence of consistency. When I say inconsistency is a major reason for unanswered prayers, what do I really mean? I am simply talking about inconsistency in certain areas of our prayers. These areas of inconsistency will be the focus of our discourse in this teaching and we will be looking at 3 critical areas.
However, in today’s lesson, we will be considering the first area, which is inconsistency in our prayer lives.
My dear friends, this is one of the reasons for unanswered prayers. So to get the best out of your prayers, you need to be consistent. This is what Jesus our Lord and Savior is trying to explain from our text scripture (Luke18verse1). In fact, it will be great if you can read the whole story so that you can get the full benefits of the lesson.
To know the Joy of answered prayers, prayer must become a part of your lifestyle and not just something you do once in a while.
There is a lot of evidence in the scriptures that justifies this position. For example: Acts6v4; Col4v2, 12; Rom12v12; Dan6v10.
So how consistent are you in your prayer Life?
Do you just pray when you feel like praying or when it’s convenient? Or do you pray regardless of the prevailing situation or circumstance of life? The answers you give to these questions will tell whether you are really consistent or not!
My dear friends, it’s important for you to be consistent in your prayer Life! You can’t become an authority or expert at something you are not consistent with! You can’t gain mastery over something you are not consistent with. In fact, you can’t get to know something well or better that you are not consistent with!
So consistency is the key to knowing and enjoying answered prayers. It’s time to be consistent with your prayer life. One of the easiest ways to do this is to become a student of prayer by enrolling in the school of prayer. Are you ready for this challenge?
