1 Chronicles11v9: ‘So David waxed greater and greater: for the Lord of hosts was with him.’
God is a God of progression. He wants his children to move forward in life and ministry as this is his will concerning them. Pro4v18. This is why you should also be against anything that wants to limit or stop you from moving forward in life. As you can see from our text scripture (1Chronicles11v9) David kept on advancing on all sides when he became the King of Israel. The scriptures attributed it to God as the source of his advancement. In the same vein, you ought also to be advancing in life. This is what this series of teachings is all about. To advance simply means to:
-To go forward, forward motion, progression, progress, headway, betterment or elevation.
So in essence in God’s plan for the believer, there is:
-No room for stagnation or redundancy. Deut2v3.
-No room for decadence (i.e. things going down, decaying or declining). Ps84v7
-No room for retardation (Anything that is impeding your speed or movement). Gal5v7
-No room for fruitless labour or labouring with nothing to show for it. Isa65v23
-No room for retrogression (No room for going backwards). Ps115v14-15
His plan and agenda is for you to go forward! Therefore anything contrary to this should be resisted and rejected in Jesus’ name.
And how can you make progress or advance in life? To experience advancement:
1. You must exercise your spiritual authority. Some advancement will not come easily, this is why you need to be forceful about it. So my dear friends, are you willing to confront your Goliaths? Are you ready to combat those things standing in your path of progress? The answers you give to these questions will tell whether you move forward or not! 1Tim6v12; Luk10v19.
But my counsel is to you today is say no to every enemy of your progress and peace! Are you ready to take up this challenge?

Prayer for Today: I say no to everything that is trying to hold me down today in Jesus’ name amen.
CONFESSION: Advancing on all sides is my heritage in Christ! So, I say no to everything that wants to hinder me from doing so. I say yes to advancing on all sides. This will be my testimony and experience in the land of the living in Jesus’ name amen.
