A Powerful Key to Answered Prayers 2

Philippians 4 verse 6 – 7: ‘V6- Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. V7-And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.’

God is in the business of answering your prayers as his child, but there are often conditions attached to receiving answers to your prayers. One of such conditions is the place of thanksgiving in your prayers, as you can see from our text scripture (Philippians 4 verse 6 – 8). Thanksgiving is one of the Important elements in receiving answers to your prayers. Why is this so? Because Thanksgiving helps you to fight and win in the spiritual warfare that’s going on in your mind. Yes, before you see the physical manifestation of your desires, there is a contention in your mind that is going on. This is why you need to remain thankful because it helps you to remain focused on your desires. It basically helps you to keep your eyes on the goal. Lk 9 v 62. So, my dear brothers and sisters, it’s time to praise your way to victory.

When it comes to receiving answers to your prayers through the avenue of thanksgiving, how are you to render your thanks? You ought to offer:

1. Thanksgiving every now and then.

I mean you need to give thanks often. It also means to give thanks to God at every given opportunity. Make sure you seize every opportunity to thank God for the answer you seek. 1Thess 5 v 18

2. Thanksgiving regularly.

Be consistent in thanking God for answers to your prayers. It’s easier to quit and even forget, but you need to be unwavering in your attitude and commitment to thanking God. Don’t Stop thanking God until the answer manifests. Eph 5 v 20.

3. Thanksgiving until the answer manifests.

This simply means you need to persevere in your thanksgiving. Don’t stop giving thanks to God until you possess your possessions. This is the spirit and mentality that leads to answers to your prayers. Eph 6 v 18.

Dearly beloved, are you willing to start thanking God for the answers you seek until you see it? I believe your answer is a powerful Yes! So, go forth and be all God has ordained you for!
