UNDERSTANDING THE CONCEPT OF A CHURCH WORKER

LESSON TWO:
WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A CHURCH WORKER 2 (1 Cor.16v10)

INTRODUCTION

You are welcome back to our discussion on what it takes to be a Church Worker. Last time, we laid a Foundation on that subject. Our intention today is to continue from where we stopped.

C. THE CRITERIA FOR BECOMING A CHURCH WORKER

8. Must have been in Dare to Dream Christian Centre (DDCC) for at least one year.
9. Should have attended/completed the First Level of our Worker’s Orientation
Program and satisfactorily passed the test.
10. Must be willing to attend/complete the other various training programme meant for the workers from time to time and satisfactorily passed the test. This is part of the efforts in becoming a better/effective Worker in this Commission.
11. Should be at the Workers Prayer Meeting that takes place at 7 am every Sunday for now.
12. Should be ready to attend all church services, programs/retreats and other special services.
13. Must participate fully in the Aggressive Evangelism Campaign that takes place once in a month for now.
14. Must complete an Application form applying to be a member of any Team/Ministries.
15. Must do the relevant interviews/satisfy the specific demands of any Teams/Ministries of their Interest.
16. Must not belong to more than two Teams/Ministries for any given church year.
17. Must be ready to submit totally, continually and heartily to all constituted authorities of the church (1Pet.5v5; 1Cor.16v16; Heb.13v7, 17, 24). For example, obey orders that do not contradict the word of God etc.
18. Must be a good Example and Promoter of the doctrines, beliefs and programmes of the Commission (Tit.2v7; 1Tim.4v6, 12).
19. Must be sacrificial in service and devotion to God/Church (2Cor.12v15).
20. Must understand and work in line with the Mandate of this Commission i.e. to
empower People to Excel in Life and fulfill their Destinies. How? By giving meaning to their Dreams. Dare to Dream Christian Centre (DDCC) is a place where Dreams are conceived, nurtured and fulfilled (Gen.37v5,9; Ps.105v17-22; Jer.1v4-5: 11-12).

21. Must know and serve in a manner to help Dare to Dream Christian Centre (DDCC) fulfill the purpose of a church, which is namely to be a (Matt.22v37-40: 28v19-20; Acts 2v42- 47):
– Place of Worship
– Place of Service
– Place of Outreach
– Place of Fellowship
– Place of Discipleship
22. Should be ready to abide by other additional conditions that may be added to the above from time to time.
