Pro.29v18: Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but happy is he who keeps the law.
Jn.10v10: The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.
While it’s very good and important to have a vision. It’s also equally important to be aware of the enemies of that vision. These enemies manifest as vision killers or destroyers. They come in different forms and fashions, and you need to know how to deal with them if you really want your dream or vision to come to pass. This is why we are talking about this subject matter, and I hope you will be graciously equipped with the tools and resources you need to deal with these enemies. So what are the things trying to kill and destroy your vision and how can you deal with them?
ENEMIES OF YOUR VISION
- Fear. This is one of the major destroyers of any vision or dream. If you are fearful, you cannot fulfil your vision because fear is a limiter and destroyer of any vision or dream. So it’s time to be courageous and fearless (Deut.31v6, 7). This is the attitude you need to put on if you will accomplish your vision. What is courage? It is the ability to do something that frightens you. It is strength in the face of pain or grief. You need to conquer your fears if you really want to accomplish your vision. Joshua and Caleb were the only ones in their generation that made it to the Promised Land because they conquered their fears (Num.13v30-33). You, too, need to do the same if your vision will come to pass.
So, my dear reader, what kind of fears are you currently facing? What is the fear that is trying to stop your vision? From experience, I have discovered some common fears that often limit many people’s dreams or visions. And they are as follows:
- Fear of Failure.
- Fear of Man (Pro.29v25).
- Fear of Tomorrow or the Future, i.e. Fear of Uncertainty.
- Fear of Rejection.
- Fear of Success.
- Fear of Disappointment, i.e. fear of things not working as planned.
- Fear of Negativity, i.e. fear of something terrible happening.
- Fear of Criticism, i.e. fear of being judged.
- Fear of Ridicule.
- Fear of Inadequacy.
- Fear of Loneliness.
- Fear of Change.
- Fear of Poverty.
- Fear of Financial Security.
Dearly beloved, whatever kind of fear you are faced with today, I want you to know that you can subdue them if you are willing to confront them (Job 3v25-26). So don’t allow any fear to stop your glorious destiny.
So what should be your response to the fears that are threatening to destroy your vision? How should you respond to them? You should respond by:
- Resisting those fears. It’s time to speak to any fear that is trying to destroy your vision. There is power in the words of your mouth and it’s time to begin to use it effectively. As you speak, their powers will be broken over you (Matt.16v18: 12v37).
- Face those fears. Take a step of faith. Make a move! Until you move, nothing else will move. So will you begin from today in taking steps no matter how small against those fears? (Jam.2v26). It’s time to do what you are afraid of doing.
- Having complete confidence in your vision. Stop doubting your vision and start believing in its merit. In this way, you will subdue your fears and give your vision a chance to manifest (Mk.9v23). May this be your testimony in Jesus name. May you gain dominance and victory over all your fears as you begin to move in the direction of your vision.

Prayer for Today: Heavenly Father, I receive your grace and help to resist and stand up to every form of fear working against my vision in Jesus name, amen.
CONFESSION: I stand in opposition against any form of fear hindering the fulfillment of my vision. I chose to be fearless and courageous. Therefore, I say no to every form of fear from henceforth. As I face my fears, I am becoming fearless. Difficult things are made easy for me. I am subduing my world and environment. I am gaining the upper hand over my fears and the enemies of my vision. Glory be to Jesus, for my vision will see the light of day in Jesus name, amen.
