1 Thessalonians 5verse21: ‘Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.’

Marriage is a life-long relationship that should be approached with a sense of seriousness and diligence. This is why you need to ask certain questions before you get yourself involved with someone maritally. So are there questions to ask before marriage? The answer is a definite yes! There are right questions to ask before you get married and this is what this series of teachings is all about. It is good for you to ask questions because the more questions you ask, the more answers you will receive, and the more solutions you will get. This is also part of the reasons why our text scripture (1 Thessalonians 5verse21) says we should prove all things. I love the Contemporary English version of the scripture which says:

-Put everything to test. Accept what is good.

So my dear friends, before you get yourself committed with anyone maritally, there are some right questions you need to ask. However in other to make this clearer, the questions you need to ask fall into at least 3 categories namely:

-Questions you need to ask yourself i.e. these are personal questions.

-Questions you need to ask about the person i.e. questions related to the other person

-Questions you need to ask the person.

I strongly believe that these are the categories of questions you need to ask before you say I do to anyone.

I am sure you are probably wondering what is the need or benefit of asking these questions. Yes, there are a lot of benefits from asking questions and I’d like to share some of them with you. So off we go!

BENEFITS OF ASKING QUESTIONS:

1. It improves your understanding.

2. It clears all your doubts and confusion.

3. It helps you to know what you need to know.

4. It gives you the information you need or seek.

5. It helps you in making better and faster decisions.

6. It saves time and other resources.

7. It helps to clarify your thoughts.

So, my brothers and sisters, these are just some of the benefits that you stand to gain from asking the right questions! So are you willing to ask these questions?
