The Reasons for Unanswered Prayers 2

Proverbs 26verse2 ‘As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.’

You are welcome back to our discussion on the reasons for unanswered prayers. I want you to know that nothing just happens but things are made to happen! In the same vein, there are reasons why some prayers go unanswered and this is why this message is coming your way today. In our last lesson, I shared one of the reasons with you, today by his grace, we will be looking at some other reasons for this. So without much ado, let’s get going!

REASONS FOR UNANSWERED PRAYERS:

2. Because of not asking or not making any requests.

Yes, I know that God knows what you need but he still wants you to ask him. This is the essence of prayer and this is also one of the reasons why some people’s prayers are not answered. Jam4v2. If you don’t make a demand there won’t be any supply! Or to simply put it in another way, If you don’t ask, you don’t get.Matt7v7-8.God can hardly do anything for humanity except for someone to ask him. Prayer is the avenue through which God gets involved in the affairs of man. So if you are not asking, then how can God answer? Exo3v7-8

3. Because you are asking wrongly or badly.

So there is a right way to ask. And this is one of the reasons why some prayers are unanswered. Jam4v3. The way you ask God is very important. So how should you ask? You ought to ask in the following ways:

-In the name of Jesus. This is the way to ask if you want your prayers to be answered. There is no other name except Jesus’ name. Jn15v16.

-According to God’s will. Not according to your own will. 1Jn5v14-15. so, can you say you are asking according to his Will?

-According to your revelation and understanding of God’s word. Or to simply put it in another way (according to your faith).Matt9v28-29

My dear friends, these are some of the ways you ought to pray if God will answer your prayers.
