Proverbs 23v17-18: Do not let your heart envy sinners, but be zealous for the fear of the Lord all the day; for surely there is a hereafter, and your hope will not be cut off.

Not everyone realizes the awesome power of their expectation otherwise things will have been quite different from what it is now. I believe this is why this message is coming your way. You need to tap into the amazing power that God has placed in your expectation as a Believer. As you can see from our foundation scripture in (Pro.23v17-18) you have no business being envious of unbelievers if you realize what kind of power you have in your expectation. This power is not meant for decoration but for your manifestation and it’s time for you to harness this power. Expectation means hope, anticipation, or confidence. It’s something that you long for or waiting for. It’s the feeling that something good is about to happen. So, precious child of God, are you living below the principles of your expectation or are you maximizing the power of your expectations? The answers you give to this question will determine where you are concerning the power of your expectations.

So what can your expectations accomplish? Your expectations can get a lot of things done, such as the following:

1. It can turn your desires into realities. This is the kind of power that your expectation possesses. Expectation is the mother of Manifestation. What you expect is what you will get. This is why you need to be mindful of what you are expecting or wishing for because you will attract what you are expecting. This is a proven spiritual law. Whatsoever you expect, that is what you will receive, i.e. if you are expecting good things to happen, that is what you will get. This is why you need to start paying attention to the things you desire so that the power of expectation can work for your good (Pro.10v24; Job 3v25-26).
2. It can keep you alive and healthy. This is another power that your expectation carries. This means that your expectations can either keep you alive or dead. It can either keep you healthy or sick. It just depends on what you are expecting. Whether it’s good or bad (Pro.13v12). This is how powerful your expectation is and this is why you need to pay attention to it. It was the power of Simeon’s expectation that kept him alive enough to see the Saviour, our Lord Jesus Christ. He testified of this himself in (Lk.2v29). You can see the full account of his story in (Lk.2v25-32). Dear Beloved, there is hope for you if you sustain and keep the right kind of expectation. The power of your expectations can sustain and keep you alive against all odds. So, therefore, keep your hopes alive, don’t allow the enemy to steal your joy and peace. As you keep your hopes alive, God’s power will sustain and bring you into your place of enlargement.

Prayer for Today: Heavenly Father, help me to maximize the power of my expectation to my advantage in Jesus’ name, amen.

CONFESSION: My expectations will work for me and not work against me. I choose to walk in line with the power of my expectations. As I cooperate with the power of my expectations, my life and experience are changing for the better. The power of my expectations rises and lifts me up. It takes me to another level. It’s changing and empowering me for a victorious life in Christ. Through my expectations, I will get to my place of destination and also fulfill my purpose in life.
