3Jn1v2: Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
God’s highest prayer and desire is for you to be well spirit, soul, and body as you see in (3 John verse 2). This is his perfect will for your life, he wants you whole. So the blessing of Wellness ought to be your portion. Healing is good but wholeness or wellness is better (1Thess.5v23). Wellness has to do with being in good health. It’s the quality of being healthy in spirit, mind, and body. It’s a state of complete, spiritual, mental, physical and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. However, if you are going to achieve wellness you also have a part to play in the process. The blessing of Wellness is not an automatic thing but something that you achieve deliberately and with God’s help. So are you ready to play your part? This is the million naira question you have to ask yourself. So what are the roles or part that you need to play in achieving Wellness?
ACHIEVING WELLNESS:
1. Stay away from Sin.
There is a connection between Sickness and Sin. Sickness came as a result of Sin. So therefore anything that takes care of the Sin problem will also take care of the sickness issue. Glory be to God, this is exactly what Jesus Christ came to do, through his Sacrifice for humanity the stronghold of sickness and disease has been destroyed (Gal.3v13-14). His sacrifice covers us all. Since sickness is an agent of Sin and even of death, you have no business living in Sin anymore. So give no more room for Sin in your life (Rom.6v12, 14). When you walk in Dominion over sin as you should, it will be easy to manifest the blessing of Wellness (Pro.14v34).
2. Keep a Sound Mind.
The state of your mind will determine to a great extent the state of your health. This is why you need to deal with every form of negative emotion that’s trying to dominate your life. Deal with emotions like worry, anxiety, fear, bitterness, malice, unforgiveness, etc. because these emotions are toxic to your general well-being. So stop allowing negative emotions to control your life instead allow the positive kinds of emotions like joy, gratitude, happiness, etc. to take control of your life. This is one of the important ways of staying healthy (Pro.4v23: 14v30).
3. Eat Properly.
Food is like fuel to your body. The right kind of food or diet will help you to be healthy while the wrong kind of food will affect your body negatively speaking. So make sure you pay attention to what you eat as you are what you eat. You can’t be healthy if you eat junk food. You need to find the right balance in your diet to stay healthy. So make sure you get the necessary wisdom on what to eat, when to eat and even how to eat to live a healthy and virile life (Dan.1v8, 12-15).
4. Exercise regularly (1Tim.4v8).
Regular exercise will contribute to your well-being. Exercise is any movement that makes your muscles work and requires your body to burn calories. Different kinds of physical activity make up exercise such as swimming, running, jogging, walking, and dancing to mention just a few. You need to incorporate exercise into your lifestyle as it will greatly improve the quality of life that you live (1 Tim.4v8). Exercising will do a lot of benefits such as:
– Make you feel happier.
– Increase your energy levels.
– Reduce the risk of chronic diseases.
– Help you with weight loss.
– Good for your muscles and bones.
– Improve skin health.
So why won’t you want to take advantage of all these benefits? I believe it’s a new day for you. I see you experiencing the blessings of Wellness in every sense of the word in Jesus’ name, amen.

I will live my life to the fullest by the grace of God. Nothing or nobody will cut short my life as I cooperate with the laws of wellness, my life shall be a reflection of God’s goodness and mercies!
