James 4v8: “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”

How connected are you to your Maker? The truth is that we can be as close to God as we want. God has not limited how close you can be to him. So it’s entirely up to you! As you can see from our text scripture (James 4v8) you determine to a great extent how close you will be to God. Another important thing to note in this scripture is that there are certain things you need to take out of the way if you will be as close to God as you want. Precious Child of God, your connection with God, is of great importance, this is why you need to take it very seriously! You need to cherish and also guard your connection with God jealously because that’s your Power Source (Eccle.9v4). And the more you are connected to God, the more of his Presence in your life and vice versa also. So stay connected to your Maker if you want to experience the fullness of his Presence in your life. You can’t afford to joke about God’s presence because it’s everything. This is why you need to stay properly and strongly connected to God! So how would you describe your connection with God? It can either be one of the following:

– You are loosely connected to God.

– You are weakly connected to God.

–  You have a Faulty Connection with God.

– You have no Connection with God.

– Or you are Strongly Connected to God.

So which category do you belong to? My dear reader, this is why you need to stay connected by all means and at all times. Never live a day outside His presence and Purpose! So in what ways can you stay connected to your Maker? You stay CONNECTED:

1. Through His Word. His Word draws you nearer to Him. So the more you stay in His Word, the stronger your bond. So never depart from his Word (Jam.1v25; Heb.4v1-2).

2. Through Prayers. Prayer time is a time of fellowshipping and strengthening your relationship with God! It’s like what engine oil is to a car! So never let anything take you away from praying regularly (Acts 6v4).

3. Through your Fellowship with other saints. This is why it’s important to come to meetings and services where your faith can be strengthened and renewed. So never stay away from fellowship (Acts 3v1: 2v46).

4. Through Your Service to God. Serving God in whatsoever capacity is also one of the lubricants of staying connected to God. So what are you doing for God and humanity? It’s time to contribute your quota to the Kingdom by being a faithful server (Lk.2v36-37).

Dear Beloved Saints, it’s time to take advantage of these wonderful platforms to stay connected to your Maker! Don’t allow anyone or anything to take you away from his Presence! May His presence be on the increase in your life in Jesus’ name, amen.

CONFESSION: Lord, I need you more and more in my life. I need you more than the air that I breathe. I need you every waking moment! I need you to survive, succeed, and live a life of Significance! I chose to remain deeply and strongly Connected to God all the days of my life in Jesus’ name, amen.
