Soul Winning Made Easy 5

Pro. 11 v 30: The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.

God’s admonition is clear from our text scripture, winning souls is part of the fruits a believer ought to bear, and winning souls is an indication of your wisdom. Soul-winners are wise people and there is nothing that God is asking you to do that you have not been empowered for, so no amount of excuse will suffice. Winning souls is not difficult if you cooperate with the principles of God. I have been sharing some of these principles with you and today I will go a step further in sharing 2 more key principles with you. So here we go!

Things that makes soul-winning easy

7. Preach Christ and not yourself or your church or any other doctrine; for this the message of the gospel. It’s about Christ and not yourself. This ought to be your message. The challenge we have at times is that we preach something else aside from Christ. This is what makes the task difficult and unproductive. By the way, it’s not your opinion, ideology, or doctrine that will change men but Christ and Christ alone! So, make sure Christ is the message that you are sending out otherwise it will be an exercise in futility (Rom.1v16). Make Christ your only message and nothing else and you will see how things will change for the better (Rom.1v16).

8. Start from where you are. I mean start from your Jerusalem and by this I mean start from:

• Your constituency i.e. your base.Your family/home. Let charity start from your home. Preach Christ to members of your family, as they are part of your Jerusalem (Acts.16v30-31).
• Your friends/associates (Acts 10v24).
• Your workplace.
• Your school.
• Your neighborhood

Just start from where you are now; for wherever you are now is your Jerusalem. This is how to make the business of winning souls easy and not complex. The way to reach our world is by reaching out from our Jerusalem one day at a time. Will you arise from your Jerusalem today? (Mk.1v45)

Prayer for Today: Heavenly Father, I embrace completely the mandate of winning souls from today. I commit myself to preach Christ and nothing else. Help me to start from my Jerusalem in Jesus name, amen.

CONFESSION: I am a fruitful soul-winner. I preach Christ and not myself. Christ is my message and not my doctrine. As I preach Christ, I am seeing results and positive changes. I commit myself to make an impact for Christ right where I am. I start from my Jerusalem to the uttermost part of the earth. Lord, I receive grace to be truthful to the end in Jesus name, amen.
