Ephesians 5verse 16: ‘Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.’
My dearly loved ones, you are welcome back to our discussion on redeeming time! Yes because time is such a priceless and precious commodity. You need wisdom on how to use it productively for your good and God’s glory. This is why this series of messages is coming your way and I believe that you will be a better person at the end of the day. So our focus in today’s lesson will be on How to actually redeem Time. Yes there are ways of making the best use of time and vice versa also. And as we go on this journey today, may your life never remain the same again in Jesus name, amen.
HOW TO REDEEM TIME:
1. By doing things when you ought to do them. Yes this is one of the most effective ways of using time wisely. So start doing the things you ought to do when you ought to do them. Avoid procrastination by all means. Be decisive. This is how to redeem your time my dear friends. Don’t leave undone what you ought to do today. As a general rule, don’t do tomorrow what you ought to do today. Develop a reputation for doing your work on time.Eccl3v1; Ps32v6. Trust me, when you embrace this attitude, you will have succeeded in redeeming time wisely. So it’s time to hit the ground running.
2. Let your preparation be abundant and thorough. Pro14v1. My dear friends, don’t joke with or play with your preparation if you really want to redeem time because it is only a prepared person that can buy up opportunities. So how adequately prepared are you? As a general rule, make sure that you take your preparation time seriously. This was the undoing of the five foolish virgins in the story Jesus gave in Matthew 25verse 1-13. The more prepared you are, the better the chances you can take and this is also true in the reverse order.
3. Take your chances or opportunities very seriously. This is another important attitude that you need to have if you will succeed in redeeming your time. Develop a reputation for taking opportunities seriously. This is one of the secrets of Jacob in the Bible. He is always quick in taking his chances. You too need to become like this. (Gen25v28-35:29v18-20:32v26) At times we are too slow in seizing opportunities and even worst still some even sleep on opportunities. But I believe that the order is changing for you from today in Jesus name amen because by the grace of God, you will learn to seize the moment! If you are receiving this, can I hear a resounding amen?
Once again this is where I will be drawing the curtain on our discussion today. See you in our next lesson.
