Praying According To God’s Will

1Jn.5v14-15: Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

One of the major and fundamental secrets of successful prayer is praying according to the will of God. This covers either praying for yourself or for others. This is one of the secret weapons of answered prayers that you need to know and understand. This is also what Apostle John was trying to make us see in (1Jn.5v14-15) that praying according to God’s will gives you confidence and assurance that your prayers are being heard. I don’t know about you but I like to pray with such confidence knowing that God has answered me. Now, you need to ensure that you don’t pray outside the will of God.

What does it mean to pray according to God’s will? It simply means to:

• Pray according to God’s word. This is what praying according to God’s will means. Another way of saying it is to make sure that you have a scriptural basis for whatever you are requesting from God. The Word of God ought to be the foundation for all your prayers. So your motto should be: No Word! No Prayer! The Word of God is the will of God. So, if you ever want to pray successfully, ensure that you pray according to His word (Isa.43v26; Jn.9vv31).

My dear reader, I do hope that you can see the importance of praying according to God’s will if you want to receive answers to your prayers. In order for you to pray according to God’s will, you need to:

• Find scriptures that promise you whatever you desire or that are relevant to what you seek (Isa.34v16). This is very important if you want to succeed in your requests.
• Use those scriptures as a basis for making your request. These promises will serve as evidence or strong reasons for your claims (Isa.41v21).

My dearly beloved, it’s time for you to enter into the realm of answers to your requests and desires. It’s time to start praying according to God’s will. Make sure that the will of God becomes the most paramount element in your prayers! As you do this, a new world of possibilities and answers will open up for you in Jesus name, amen.
