Deuteronomy 2verse3 ‘Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward.’
God hates all forms of stagnation. This is why you need to resist any form of stagnation too. I mean stagnation in every area of life either in life, ministry, career, business, relationship or other areas of life. As you can also see from our text scripture (Deuteronomy 2verse3) that God does not want you to remain on the same spot for too long. God wanted Israel to move forward from where they were because they had stayed there for too long. In the same vein, you too, may need to stand up against every form of stagnation in your life. It’s very clear and obvious that stagnation is never God’s will for you and I. Ps84v7. This is why you need to confront and resist it. However in order to overcome this enemy of our progress and joy, you need to understand what stagnation is all about as you cannot conquer what you don’t know or understand. So what is stagnation?
-A state or condition marked by lack of flow, movement or development.
-Lack of activity, growth or development.
-A period of no or little economic growth.
-Remaining in the same spot for a long time.
-A form of limitation and delay.
My dear brothers and sisters, I believe that you can see that stagnation is never a good thing. So this is why you need to resist it in any form or manner. You need to come against it with everything that is within you because oftentimes, it’s a stubborn spirit! But thanks be to God, for we are more than conquerors in the name of Jesus Christ!
So join me in our next lesson as I share with you some reasons why you must not accommodate stagnation in your life.
