1Chro.16v9: “For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries”.
There are opportunities in every crisis and my prayer for you is to be able to see and seize them in Jesus name, amen. So far in this series of lessons, I have been sharing with you how to spot opportunities in a time of crisis and in today’s lesson, I will be sharing with you some other things that can help you see opportunities. So, what does it take to spot opportunities?
1. By seeing and hearing what others are not seeing and hearing. To spot opportunities in a time of crisis means you have a different perspective from others. This was the kind of perspective that the likes of Joseph and David had in their generation. They saw what others were not seeing and heard what others were not hearing (Pro.20v12). They saw solutions instead of challenges. They heard prospects instead of problems! My dear reader, what are you seeing and hearing in your present predicament? Your perspective is very important because it will determine what you see and hear. This is why you need to have an open mind and not a closed mind if you want to seize the opportunities in a time of crisis.
2. By being proactive and not passive. To spot the opportunities buried in a time of crisis, you have to be diligent and not lazy. You have to be action-oriented and not a passive person. I want you to know that nothing happens until you move. So, it’s time to put on your thinking cap, work your ideas, network with others and make those calls. Opportunities are difficult to come by for the man who is lazy and slothful. If the 4 lepers in (2Ki.7v3) were not proactive, they would not have discovered the gold mine of opportunities waiting for their discovery. In the same vein, there is a mega breakthrough waiting for your discovery as you become more proactive in Jesus name, amen.

Prayer for Today: Precious Holy Spirit, help me to see and hear what others are not seeing and hearing. Help me to make hay while the sun shines in Jesus name, amen.
CONFESSION: I commit myself to being proactive and not passive. I choose to be action oriented and not passive. I will not be lazy in doing my own part. I will be prompt and diligent with regards to what is expected of me. I do not procrastinate but instead I do my work without delay or excuses. As I seize the moment and take initiatives, opportunities are unfolding to me. The lines are falling unto me in pleasant places as I prospect for opportunities in Jesus name, amen.
