Daniel 1verse8: ‘But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.’

I hope you are getting the necessary tools and resources to make the most of this Year. And one way of doing such is when your New Year resolutions are coming to pass. My dear reader, whatever your New Year resolutions are, I believe that they will see the light of day if you take heed to these proven and tested principles in achieving your goals. From our last lesson, I shared some of these truths with you and today, by his grace, I will be sharing the remaining ones, so off we go!

How To Make Your Resolutions Work For You:

3. You must be fully committed to your Resolutions. Nothing works unless you are committed to it. So this is why you need to be committed to your goals this year, if you really want it to work. Being fully committed means being totally and completely sold out to your goals. Don’t allow anyone or anything to move you away from your goals. Be relentless in your pursuit and it will be delivered into your hands. Rom14v5; Dan1v8. So, how committed are you?

4. Depend on the Help of God. You also need the extra factor in accomplishing your goals and the X factor here is God’s help. Because you will be dealing with both tangible and intangible factors in accomplishing your goals, you will need God’s help along the way. So to what extent are you willing to depend on his help in achieving your goals? God is willing to help you but you have to show him that you really want his help and that you are leaning on him. 1Sam2v9; Phiip4v13. So why don’t you start leaning on him? Ps60v11-12. God can help you deal with those things or stuff that are bigger and stronger than you! Let nothing stop you as you approach him today. May you experience total victory in those areas of your life today.

5. Be Resolute and Determined. It’s not easy to accomplish your goals. This is why you must persevere and persist if you will prevail. So, make up your mind that you will not quit or surrender your dreams to the noisy negatives around you. Stand your ground and fight for your dreams and goals. Stay focused on your dreams. Don’t change your mind or voice about whatever you have resolved to do this year. Keep pushing. You will get there if you faint not. Heb6v12, 15. Remember, it is not the size of the dog in the fight that matters, but the size of the fight in the dog. So keep fighting for your resolutions! I see you winning if you faint not in Jesus name amen. Heb10v35-38.

Prayer for Today: I declare that I won’t be the same again this year because his strength and power are coming into my life today in Jesus name, amen.

CONFESSION: I will become what I have set out to become this year. I will get to my expected destination this year and I will accomplish the things that are before me as I act on these wisdom keys at my disposal. And as I do, my dreams and aspirations for this year will see the light of day. Hallelujah.
