2Cor.4v8-9: We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.

One man who knew about crisis so well in the New Testament was Apostle Paul. He also responded positively toward the crisis he faced. Look at his response in (2Cor.4v8-9). For every trouble that came, his response was spot on and outstanding. You and I can draw strength and encouragement from this, knowing fully well that you have what it takes to deal with any Crisis. This is what these series of teaching is all about and I pray that a new you will arise to the surface in Jesus name. May you also become a better manager of crisis in every respect.
Dearly beloved, how you handle crisis matters a lot. It has far greater implications and impact than we think. In fact, it determines many things. This is why you need to pay attention to how you handle the crisis of life. So why manage crisis very well?

REASONS FOR MANAGING CRISIS EFFECTIVELY:

  1. Because it will determine your promotion in life. How you handle crisis is connected to your promotion in life. I know a lot of people want to be elevated in life but they are not ready to go through crisis. If you want to rise and be lifted in life, you must be a better manager. Some people want to get promoted without doing anything or conquering anything, but true promotion is based on what you have handled. For instance, consider the story of Joseph in Egypt as a slave; he got promoted in Potiphar’s house, the prison and ultimately, the palace because of the way he handled the crisis of life. So at the end of every crisis, you either get promoted or passed over. So which choice have you made? If you want to be elevated, choose to respond properly to the challenges of life (Ps.75v6-7).

2. Because it will determine whether God will be glorified in your life or not. My dear reader, God’s ultimate aim is to be glorified in your life (Isa.43v21). But how you handle crisis will determine whether God will be glorified or not. As you can see, God got the glory out of the Crisis of Daniel and Joseph. He will get the glory out of your life if you respond properly to the crisis of life. And if you choose otherwise, it simply means God won’t be glorified in your life. This was what happened to Lot and his family in Gen.19. So you should decide ahead of time that your desire is for God to be glorified in and through your crisis. This is the wise and profitable thing to do as someone who wants to be a better crisis manager. I pray for you today that may God get all the glory and praise out of your trials and challenges in life. At the end of the day, all your efforts won’t be in vain in Jesus name, amen. So if I were you, I would rejoice (Dan.2v46-49: 3v28-30).

Prayer for Today: Heavenly Father, my hearts’ desire and prayer is for you to be glorified and promoted through my trials and challenges in Jesus name, amen.

CONFESSION: I choose to respond positively to the crisis of life. This is my posture and attitude toward any crisis. I will not allow life’s challenges to make me its victim and lose my identity. I rise and I’m lifted by the storms of life. My ultimate aim and objective are for God to be glorified in all my trials and crisis. This shall be my testimony and my lot in Jesus name, amen.
