Hosea14verse7 ‘They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon.’

I do believe that you are enjoying this series on how you ought to flourish as a believer. God has a standard when it comes to flourishing. This is why he doesn’t want you to just flourish anyhow. He has certain things in mind as per your flourishing. This is why he likens your flourishing to certain trees and plants in the scriptures. I have shared about four of these concepts with you, today, by his grace I will be sharing another powerful way he wants you to flourish. So without much ado, let’s examine this right now.
HOW YOU WILL FLOURISH:

5. You ought to flourish like the vine. The vine is most commonly spoken of as the grapevine, although it also refers to other plants with a growth habit of trailing or scandent (I.e., climbing ) stems, liana’s or runners. It is an important tree in Israel. Num13v23-24.
This is how God wants you to flourish and if you understand how the vine flourishes, you will be better at knowing how you ought to flourish too. In order to do this successfully, you need to understand the qualities of the vines.
QUALITIES OF THE VINE:

i. It is a fragrant tree. This is how your life should be. You are to add beauty and glory anywhere you are .can this be said about you? Sos2v13

ii. It is a Fruitful tree. From it’s fruit, wine is produced, which is of great economic and health value. So my dear reader, how fruitful are you as a believer? It’s time to grow in your capacity for fruit-bearing in Jesus name, amen. Zac8v12: Mal3v11.

iii. It bears fruit for a long time. Your capacity for bearing fruits is not supposed to be short or temporal. You ought to keep bearing fruits even in old age. This is the dimension of what your flourishing should look like. So it’s time for you to start manifesting this trait!

iv. It produces a very strong root system, enabling it to draw water and other nutrients easily. How does this relate to you? It simply talks about your ability to survive in the most adverse of conditions. If a vine does this, this also should be a reality in your life.

v. Vines grow as evergreen or deciduous plants. Evergreen vines retain their foliage throughout the year, while the deciduous ones drop leaves in fall.

vi. They need to be pruned regularly in order to get the best out of them, because of their capacity to spread indefinitely. Jn15v3.
Although the pruning process is not palatable, trust me, it enables you to bear much fruit. So you need to learn how to endure the pruning process!

vii. They symbolize happiness, peace, prosperity and fruitfulness. 1Ki4v25: Mic4v15

My dearly beloved ones, I believe you can better see how God expects you to flourish. May these truths be a living reality in your life and work in Jesus name, amen.
