How To Thank God 2

Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

How do you thank this Great and Awesome God? From our text scripture (Ephesians 5 verse 20), it’s apparent that God wants to be thanked in a particular way. Just like you love to be appreciated in certain ways, the Almighty God deserves to be appreciated in certain ways. When you begin to thank him in the ways he wants to be thanked, you will also begin to see God’s mighty works and deeds in your life and ministry. You will begin to see the Power of gratitude at work like never before. I believe that this will be your testimony from henceforth in Jesus name, amen. You are welcome back to our discussion on how to thank God. In our last lesson, I shared three dimensions of how you ought to thank God. Today by his grace, we shall be looking at some other dimensions of offering our Praise. Are you ready for this? Here we go.

HOW TO THANK THE LORD

4. By saying No to Envy and Jealousy.

God wants you to praise him without being envious or jealous of others. That is how he wants you to praise him. Stop comparing yourself with others; stop putting yourself under pressure. Be thankful for what you have and Where you are now. Be thankful for what you have achieved. Embrace gratitude over envy and Jealousy. My dear brothers and sisters, resist every attempt to be envious or jealous. Say no to this spirit because it has the ability to steal your joy and peace if you allow it. Are you ready to say no to every form of Envy and Jealousy in your life? Heb13v5

5. By saying Yes to God’s instructions and directives.

Precious child of God, this is one of the ways by which God wants you to praise him. Are you praising him according to his instructions, or just doing your own thing? Dearly beloved, the kind of Praise that will provoke unusual testimonies are the ones that are done according to his Instructions. So make up your mind that you will begin to take heed to his directives and biddings. I can guarantee you that as you begin to praise him the way he wants to be appreciated, your life and results won’t be the same again. Jn2v5. So, may today usher you into a new season of gratitude in Jesus name amen

6. By Counting your Blessings.

Yes, this is how God wants to be praised. He wants you to count His blessings in your life regularly. How often do you count his blessings? It’s something you need to embrace and start doing because those who count their blessings will never stop counting them. This simply means that they won’t stop counting their blessings because they will be more than enough. Ps145v1-2.
So my dear brothers and sisters:

-Dont take His Blessings for granted in your life.

-Be thankful for every Blessing you have received.

-Never stop being thanking God because it’s a debt you will never be able to pay back. 2Thes1v3

-Keep a Gratitude Journal. This helps you record in detail and recollect all that God has done for you.

My dear reader, it’s time to imbibe the culture of counting your blessings. Its time to start focusing on the right things. May your blessings never diminish in Jesus name amen as you do so.

Prayer for Today: Heavenly Father, I choose to make gratitude my lifestyle in Jesus name, amen. Please help me to do this faithfully.

CONFESSION: Gratitude is riches, and Complaint is poverty. Gratitude is enriching and beneficial, while envy is destructive. I embrace the spirit of gratitude instead of jealousy. I choose to obey his Instructions as to how to praise him. Glory be to God, for a new life has opened up for me. I am lifted by the Power of Gratitude to new heights in Jesus name, amen
