Philip.3v13-14: Brothers and Sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Dearly beloved, I sincerely hope that you are gaining wisdom and insight as per how to actualize your goals. This is the main objective of this teaching and may your goals see the light of day. By His grace today, I will be sharing further with you the principles that can help you to accomplish your goals.

PRINCIPLES FOR ACTUALIZING YOUR GOALS:

7. Review and reflect on your goals regularly. If you will really want to accomplish your goals, you need to put plans in place to review your goals from time to time. Doing this helps you to achieve your goals as it increases your chances of hitting your targets/aims. My dear reader, if you really value your goals, you will create time for reviewing them. This review could be on a weekly, monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly basis. The most important thing is to just review them. It’s time to factor this into your plans if you want to be a successful goal-getter! (2Cor.13v5). By the way, why is it so important for you to review your goals regularly? You need to do this in order:

  • To track your progress with regards to your goals
  • To know where you are in the pursuit of your goals.
  • To know the areas of improvement and challenges.
  • To know if there is the need to re-strategize.

These are just some of the reasons for you to inculcate this principle into your life. I encourage you to do so from today.

8. Be flexible in your methods of achieving your goals. This is a very important strategy for you to adopt if you want to achieve your goals. You must be willing to vary your approach or ways of achieving your goals. This is what it means to be flexible; you need to have an open mind (Ps.103v7). Don’t be rigid or mechanical because there are a thousand and one ways of accomplishing your goals. It’s time to vary your approach. There are many roads to the same market. So what exactly do I mean by being flexible? It means:

  • To have more than one way/means of achieving your goals. Whatever goals you have set for yourself, make sure you have plan B, C, or even D aside from plan A of achieving them.
  • To be willing to vary your approach/methods especially if the one you are using is not working.
  • To be willing to try new/better methods of achieving your goals.

My dearly beloved one, this is the mindset you need to embrace in order to be a goal-getter! I pray that you will be courageous enough to embrace this principle from today in Jesus name, amen.

As I cooperate with God and these principles, I will hit my targets and goals. Glory be to God, for I am becoming a better goal-getter. Hallelujah to His name!
