I Thessalonians 5verse 18 ‘In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus Concerning you.’
Our lives should revolve around showing gratitude. Gratitude must leave the realm of what we do to who we are. This is God’s will concerning you and I. In other words, gratitude must become our lifestyle i.e. become part and parcel of our lives. This is the goal of the scriptures concerning us as his children. Col2v6-7. So how can gratitude become our lifestyle? We can make gratitude a part of our lives by:
1. Appreciating Everything. The attitude of being picky of what to be grateful for won’t help you as a believer, rather you need to change your strategy! Start to be grateful for everything because everything is important! Don’t just be grateful for the big things but show gratitude for the little things of life. As you begin to make this adjustment into your life, you will see gratitude becoming a part of your makeup and life. So why not start right now? Eph5v20
2. Finding something to be grateful for Everyday! Do you know that there are things to be thankful for everyday? Yes, everyday has its own blessings and challenges, so choose to focus on the right things. Make up your mind that you will start finding what to be grateful for Everyday! I tell you if you will be sincere and honest with yourself, there is something to be thankful for everyday. It’s your responsibility to find it out. So decide from today that you will be on the lookout for those things because if you will find something to grateful for, this is the attitude you must embrace. What you find depend on what you are looking for! So start seeking for opportunities and not problems. Take time to stop and pause everyday once in a while, so as not to miss out on the unique opportunities of being grateful. Matt7v7-8
My dearly beloved Ones, are you willing to take up this challenge?
