Eph.5v16: Redeeming the time because the days are evil.

You are welcome to our discourse on getting the best out of your day. Every day is important and it will impact your months, years, and ultimately your life. So how you use a day matters! This is the reason our foundational scripture in (Eph.5v16) also emphasizes the need to redeem or make use of your time. So how can you get the best out of a Day? What are the secrets behind having a successful or fulfilling day? These are the things I will be sharing with you from today’s lesson, and so without much ado, let’s examine these powerful truths!

MAXIMISING YOUR DAY:

  1. Start your day with God. This is one of the best ways of maximizing your day. Start and end every day with God. Give God the first part of your day. From my personal experience, I have discovered that when I start my day with God, I tend to make a greater impact and get better results. A wise man also once said ‘A day is poorly spent for him if God was not part of that day. Can you say this about your own day? Do you give God the first part of your day? Is God involved at the start of your day? You need to seriously consider these questions and also give the appropriate answers to them if you really want to have a fulfilling day. Dear friends, my submission to you today is to never embark on a day without engaging God or calling upon him (Ps.127v1-2). So, therefore, always endeavour to start your day with God. Spend time with Him in worship and prayers. Follow the examples of men and women who could profit meaningfully out of their days here on earth (Lk.2v36-37).
  2. Live by his wisdom in all that you do. Rely on God’s wisdom in all your endeavors, i.e. what you do, where you go, etc. Seek God’s wisdom in all your ways. This is how to maximize your time and days fully(Pro.4v5, 7). Stop living by the sweat of your brow or the law of the jungle. Go for God’s wisdom because it’s far better than any other kind of wisdom. It’s better than the wisdom of men or the wisdom of this world. This was what made the likes of King David lean and depend on God’s wisdom for their daily living (1 Sam.30v8). You, too, can follow suit. I guarantee you that it will change your life for the better. My dearly beloved ones, the best way to profit out of your day is to seek and live by the wisdom of God. Are you ready to make this paradigm shift today? As you do so, you will begin to notice a change in your life and operations.
