Romans 8 verse 14 ’For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are sons of God.’
Being led by God should be a common occurrence in the life of a believer but from experience, this is often not the situation. Some believers hardly hear from God and some even occasionally hear from God. This ought not to be so, this is why God is bringing this series of teachings your way. In our last lesson, I introduced you to the first key to being led by God. Today by his grace, I will be sharing another key with you. So let’s examine this principle without any delay.
2. Cultivate the habit of asking the Lord for direction. Nothing happens but they are made to happen. Just like blessings are not automatic, divine guidance is not automatic either. This is why you need to cultivate the habit of asking the Lord for direction if you will not miss your way. Ps2v8.My dear reader, you need to know how to ask for Directions. Those who enjoy divine guidance know how to ask for directions, this is why they don’t lack directions. So it is time for you to imbibe this culture and attribute.
My dear reader, when it comes to cultivating the habit of asking the Lord for directions, you need to ask for his directions:
-In your day-to-day affairs
-In what you do (I.e. job, ministry, project, etc.)
-In what you intend to embark on or do
-In areas that you seem not to know what to do.
-In every area of life
So as a general rule, you need to consistently form the habit of asking for God’s direction to hear his voice. If you are embracing these truths, say a Big AMEN.
