Philipian2verse5: ’Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:’

Many don’t realize the value, worth and importance of a BETTER ATTITUDE in what they do i.e. most especially in God’s work and his kingdom. It’s therefore imperative that we continually develop better attitude(s) in our lives generally speaking. It’s an essential and principal thing! That is why, we shall be considering the importance of cultivating better attitude(s) in our work in the kingdom in this series of teachings. Remember that a bad, negative and an average attitude is not good at all. So let’s embrace a better attitude towards whatever we do. Eccl9v10. However before we start considering the importance of better attitude, let’s define what an attitude is 

1. WHAT IS AN ATTITUDE?

An attitude is your disposition or spirit towards a thing or person. The way or manner in which you conduct or comport yourself. Personal view of something i.e. an opinion or general feeling about something. The kind of mind you have towards people or things. It’s a complex mental state involving beliefs and feelings and values and dispositions to act in certain ways. It’s an inward feeling expressed by an outward behavior. Your attitude is your best friend or your worst enemy and it’s never content until it is expressed. These are essential what an attitude is really all about. I want us to go a step further by examining some basics truths about our attitude. So off we go.

• SOME BASIC THINGS ABOUT YOUR ATTITUDE:
• Your attitude is a choice. You choose your attitude and then your attitude choose you. Everyone is responsible for the kind of attitude that they have, so it’s time to own up to your attitude and stop blaming others. Rom2v1.
• Your attitude shows in everything you do. You can’t separate your attitude from you. This is absolutely true. Your attitude shows up in everything you do i.e. How you serve, work, play, relax etc. or do your things.
• Your attitude is either good or bad, positive or negative. These are two kinds of attitude that exists. My dear friends, there are no two ways about it, it’s either your attitude is good or bad nothing more, nothing else.
• Your attitude is never static. It’s either going from good to bad, bad to good, bad to worse or good to better. Hence, the reason why you need to continually work on it. Eph4v23. This is the reason why we need to check or work on our attitudes regularly. And I believe this is why God is sending this teachings your way.
• Your attitude determines your altitude. It can either lift you up or pulls you down. Yes this is absolutely true. Your attitude determine the height you will get to. It determines how high you will go. So it’s time to start paying attention to your attitude.

My dear brothers and sisters, our attitudes are much more important than we think and I believe that you can see from some of the things we have spoken about today, why you need to start paying attention to your attitude. I pray that your transformation will begin today in Jesus name.
