Pro.31v29: Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all.
God is not just interested in our service but how we render that service; this is why you need to render better service in whatever you may be doing. Better service ought to be your goal in your business, career, or kingdom service and the interesting thing to know is that it’s possible to achieve better service delivery. This is one thing the Proverbs 31 woman was able to achieve, hence the reason her husband was singing her praises. If she can do it, you too can achieve it for God is no respecter of persons but of faith. It’s time to set your mind on this and this is what we will be learning in this series of lessons on better service delivery. However, my focus in today’s lesson is to share with you some myths about better service that you need to deal with if you will be successful in achieving better service delivery! What then are these myths or misconceptions?
MYTHS ABOUT BETTER SERVICE:
- Compromising quality on the altar of quantity. Never compromise quality at the expense of quantity. Yes, quantity is good but the quality will bring about quantity!
- It’s a waste of time and resources. Not true but rather better service is a worthwhile investment. So make sure you go for better service (Ps.12v6).
- Good enough is okay. Not so my dear reader, the enemy of better is good, so never settle for the good only; aim for the best.
- It’s a slogan or a motto. Better service is more than a slogan; it’s a habit. It’s what we do repeatedly and it’s who we are, for it takes a better person to do a better job.
- It’s what you put into a service or product. Dearly beloved, it’s more than this; it’s what the client or customer gets out of it i.e. the value and benefits they get from it.
- Better means perfection. This is far from the truth instead better means striving to be better.
- It’s a department’s job. Better service is everybody’s job. In fact, it ought to be our business.
My dear reader, it’s important for you to jettison every contrary view or misconception that you have about better service delivery if you really want to achieve excellent service. Therefore, I encourage you from today to start saying no to every myth, so that you can accomplish your colourful destiny. I see the tide changing in your favour as you take your stand today and always remember that great service will bring about delighted customers which will ultimately lead to a prosperous business!
