Becoming A Living Witness 6

Acts 1v8: But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

You are welcome back to our discussion on “Becoming a Living Witness.” I trust that this series of teachings have been of great blessing to you. It’s time to positively affect others for good to the glory of His name. This is why God has made you be His representative here on earth. We have looked at 4 ways by which you can affect other people’s lives positively and our focus in this teaching today will be to look at another powerful means of making a difference.

How to affect people’s lives positively?

5. Be a contributor and not just a consumer. Becoming a valuable contributor is one of the powerful means by which you positively affect others’ lives. So, what are you bringing to the table? What kind of contributions are you making? Dearly beloved, it’s time to contribute your quota. It’s time to make an impact. It’s not just enough to exist, you need to live and the way you do this is by being a contributor (Matt.5v14, 16). Make up your mind that you will start making valid contributions. Be resolute for God. Leave behind your footprints and legacy on the sands of time. Everybody can contribute something; it’s just whether they will contribute or not. I, therefore, encourage you from today to start offering what you can contribute.

My dear reader, are you aware that there are several ways by which you can make worthwhile contributions? Yes, you can be a valuable contributor by:

• Adding value everywhere you go. Just make up your mind to leave behind a trail of blessings everywhere you go.
• Adding value right where you are. Never despise little beginnings or opportunities; just be a blessing.
• Adding value with what you have. Never underestimate what you have because it’s special and unique.

Just make up your mind to be a value-adding person. Be a solution-provider and not a problem-giver. Stay faithful and true while adding value! Be His living witness everywhere you go. Nothing will gladden the heart of the Father more than this.

Prayer for Today: Father God, help me to live up to my responsibility and calling as your living witness everywhere I go in Jesus name, amen.

CONFESSION: I am a contributor and not just a consumer. I make valid contributions everywhere I go. I am a valuable contributor. By the grace of God, I am making impact. I am deliberate and purposeful about my impact. My impact transcends my community, work, and my generation. My impact is local and global. By His grace, my impact is bringing glory and honor to His name! Blessed be to God, I am lifted and favoured.
