Acts 1v8: But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
The Almighty has called you to his living witness. Your life ought to testify of his goodness, grace, power, and gospel of Jesus Christ. According to (Acts 1v8), your influence ought to be far and near. It’s not meant to be local but international. It’s not meant to be small but big (1Jn.1v1-3). This is the focus of this series of lessons. I am sure you are excited about becoming a living witness. Today by His grace, our focus will be on how you can affect other people’s lives for the better.
How to affect people’s lives positively?
- By becoming a soul-winner. Winning souls or the lost is a positive way of affecting lives and we have a mandate to be soul-winners (Pro.11v30). Sharing the message of God’s love with others is a powerful means of changing people primarily. You can definitely testify of this; this is why you are a believer today, as you have been a recipient of God’s love (2Cor.5v17). When was the last time you won a soul for Christ? Are you doing things that will promote people responding to God’s message of love? Some of those things include:
– Distributing flyers/handbills/tracts to people especially the unsaved
– Praying for the lost/unreached people. This is one of the potent things you can do as a believer, i.e. when you stand in the gap for the lost (Eze.22v30).
– Inviting them to meetings/church (Jn.1v41, 43-45).
– Speaking to them about Christ (Jn.3v1-7).
My dear reader, it’s time to be a soul-winner indeed. It’s time to share God’s love and message to our world. Start today with the people in your circle of influence! Start in your neighborhood or your workplace! Just start where you are, with what you have! Start making the moves today. Start making a positive impact!
